Live timing and results for cycling events

  • Timing software and live results for timers, event organizers and athletes, built for the Federación Paranaense de Ciclismo, a non-profit federation in Paraguay.
  • Took it from selecting and buying the hardware to deploying the finished solution.
  • In production, with 10 races timed so far.

  • Created and maintained features of a Delphi ERP, with Oracle as the database and PL/SQL as the back end.
  • Wrote new reports, kept the old ones running and optimized slow SQL reports.

The path

  1. 2005Started as a CNC programmer at Teysa in Minga Guazú, Alto Paraná, Paraguay, and stayed until 2008.
  2. 2009Began a higher technician degree in electromechanics at the Universidad Católica Nuestra Señora de la Asunción, finished in 2011.
  3. 2010Joined Datapar as a software engineer working on a Delphi and Oracle ERP, and stayed until 2018.
  4. 2018Became CTO in Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, and completed a postgraduate degree in strategic management at the Universidad de Belgrano.
  5. 2020Moved to Python as a developer at Rubik Solutions PY in Ciudad del Este.
  6. 2021Python developer at Eiprice in São Paulo, Brazil, building an API on Google Cloud.
  7. 2022Built the cycling timing software for the Federación Paranaense de Ciclismo, and from August became a data engineer at ARKHO, working for CENCOSUD.
  8. 2025Became Senior Data Architect at TAI Solutions in Pisa, Tuscany, Italy.

Cycling

I ride and take part in cycling events. I also built the timing and live-results software for the Federación Paranaense de Ciclismo, from choosing and buying the hardware to deploying it. It has timed 10 races so far.
